Fall is here! & I'm already looving the weather! I don't know what it is about this weather and season.It's always been my fav season by far! The gloomy skies and rain. I just love it!  So anyways, this fall I made this little centerpiece. =) I made it using pumpkins and scented pinecones so it makes the room smell like cinnamon!

Though that faded out after a little while lol. But it was nice while it lasted. I made this entire thing from the dollar tree minus the pumpkins and pinecones. =)

Summer Favs!!!

Summer Favs!!! <3 

Thank god! Summer favs means summer has come to it's eeeeend!  I know I'm not the only one thinking it! But aside from the heatwaves and just general hotness, I've NEVER been a fan of summer. The sun, the humidity, the yellow skies. Just no!  I have never liked it.  Though it looks like the weather of happiness to most it seems, to me it's utter depression! lol (kidding but not kidding).  But I found a few products (and a couple beautiful summer memories) that got me through this summer and also have just become my general favs. So let's get into it shall we?

1. BEAUTYCON 

BeautyCon was a little dream for this year and that dream came true!  I made it a point that I was going to this years event and it was amaaazing!  If you love makeup, this is definitly an event for you. There was makeup galore!  I have a blog all about that day that'll be linked below! =]  


2. PUPPY ICE CREAM

I went and got this little doggy icecream for my little boo and he. LOVED it!  They come in a couple flavors and you can get them at your local Vons.  This one is peanut butter. I think your dog will probably love this treat as much as beggin strips in the summer! 



3. ARGAN OIL SHAMPOO

Sorry for the black background. It matches this Summer haul in NO way! lol I don't know what I was thinking. 

This kit was so hydrating and I love the smell of argan oil.  It could literally be a perfume it smells so good.  So thats also a plus but also, its good to oil your hair.  I learned that recently while trying to take better care of mine.  Oil is definitely good for it and NEEDED!  

4 HEART SUNNIES

I wore these 2 beautycon. 
Is this not the most perfect pair of shades to wear in the summer? lol and at a summer event like beautycon lol.  I LOVED wearing these!  They are pink, cute and rainbow lensed perfection! =)


5. PALM SPRINGS/ NIGHT SWIMMING

Believe it or not, I went to palm springs this summer.  I know I know, your thinking.. Why on GODS green earth would you go 2 the DESERT while it was that freaking hot?! lol But it was a random get away and actually was one of my favorite memories of this summer.  It was so relaxing and chill.  I did some night swimming.. aand  a little day swimming lol. I walked all around downtown palm spring springs and shopped and ate.  And the kicker for this trip was I randomly found marilyn monroes old house! =] Thats the pic above of it with the cute little mailbox.  I'm a bit of a marilyn fanatic if I haven't established that yet lol.  She's one of my favorite starlets of all time and it was so cool to find one of her houses.  It was also interesting to find out that the desert was were all the old classic hollywood stars use to hang out such as frank sinatra and just all the classic people of that era.  
  
6. PILL BOX

Another fav is this little lady bug pill box!  My sensei or ex sensei I should say use to take a LOAD of vitamins and supplements and I guess you can say thats where I got the idea. I've always kind of wanted to start taking supplements of my own so now I'm starting!  This one is a cute little kiddy lady bug one that's Saturday through Sunday and it also has a little latch to lock so you dont loose all your pills in your purse! lol 


7. BDAY SIPPY CUP

I got this as a little gift for my birthday this year and I just thought it was SO perfect! It's my cutest wine glass now.  There's 2 things to take note about this pic. One, that even my family calls me trixie now lol.   I posted this pic on Instagram with the caption "even my family calls me trixie, I think that makes it official" And I think it does! lol And 2, you know your a lush when you get a gift like this lmao.  That is all.  



8. KNOTTS BERRY FARM

This summer, my little sis graduated from middle school *tears* and is off to high school now...  But first, we celebrated her graduation at Knotts Berry Farm! This was such a magical day. We literally did eeverything at the park!

   9. THE IVY

I had a bday brunch with my beautiful mom sitting across at this place called the ivy in beverly hills.  Literally the best salad in all the land!! I promise!  This was definitly a fav for me.  I have a whole review on this restaraunt for anyone who might be interested.  I'll link that below too! =) (side note: I called out sick for this day and randomly ran into the manager I lied to to get out of work 😳! It was the craziest thing.I work very close to this restaurant and for some reason didn't give it a second thought. It was this weird moment where me and my manager locked eyes and he gave me this look like "I see you" but decided to let it go and not say anything more about it lol.) 

And that marks my summer memories and favs for 2015.  Crazy.  Time passes so fast. Change happens so quickly but It was a great summer and now I'm ready for my most favorite season of all time. FALL! everyone's fav season. Now we can break out the psl's and candles lol.

Purse Review!!!

Purse Review!!! <3

So I found a purse recently in one of my most favorite discount stores in my area called gen x! 

This sexy purse right here! lol

Btw, can we take a moment to appreciate my photography skills as of late.lol I'm slowly getting better at this whole picture taking thing. Anyways, I saw this purse on the purse table and it caught my eye right away!  One because it's stunning. But two because its a play on the famous Chanel boy bag.

Looks like this.

The Chanel boy bag is very cute.. but not 5,000 dollars cute lol.  Thats what I saw it going for on ebay.  And that was ebay.. but that price sounds about right.

So this purse is pretty much an exact replica as you can see AND also cruelty free which makes it so much better already.  So I thought, I must get this before it disappears in the abyss that is the shopping world never to return again. lol  Im being a little dramatic but its true! You let it wait and then its gone! Just like that. 

So more about this little beautiful find.

The interior is RED which I love! Here's a little peak inside.

  It has a super classy/chic look and I love the gold hardware on this bag.  Gold and black always go good together.

I also love the hard and structured feel of this purse so much. I love a structured purse! How it looks is how it feels.I also like that it is like a cross body if you want it to be so it's like a hands free care free purse.

And I just looove the chain on this! It's super pretty and jingly when you pick it up. I kind of like a strap like this too.  Not for an everyday thing but it's really nice for like an occasion thing.

And  I think the best thing I like about this bag is that it replicates a name brand bag but not in a tacky way.

  Like for example, they didn't try to create an emblem that looks like the Chanel logo but when you get close you realize its something else lol. It's just a gold hardware piece of it's own with a twisty closure. 

The downside is not much can fit in it because its very tiny. =\  It's like a clutch really.  But I think fashion outweigh function for this one.  You can just use it for going out and doing small things where you dont need to carry much.  I used it as a dinner clutch and it was perfect! =)

What's very strange is this purse doesn't have a name... lol I thought that was so bizzare. No name to be found so it was impossible to track down online. I was really trying to hunt this down like crazy to find out more info about it but literally nothing.  So I guess if anyone is interested you might wanna try and catch it at gen x or similar stores such as maybe a tj max or something along those lines. =(  I always like to leave at least some kind of reference link or something for those that might be interested but I had no luck =/. ugh

But loooove this purse!  I give this purse like 10 hearts! lol Just cus it's that cute!

Brunch at The IVY!

Bday Brunch at The IVY! ^_^

So for one of my birthday plans this year, I decided I wanted to have a small bday brunch with my mom at the IVY! 

The IVY for those who don't know is a super popular high end chic restaurant on Robertson in Beverly Hills!  Celebs go there and it's just a very cute and quaint spot that you can brunch or lunch at lol.

I thought it would be fun to blog my experience and kind of do a mini restaurant review on my blog at the same time! =)

This was my first time coming here and I've been wanting to come to this place for awhile so this was definitely something I was looking forward too!  

So the first thing you should know about this place is that it is reservation only.  I'm so glad I happen to call in advance because I had no idea. And when I asked the guy on the phone about reservations, he was like "uh. yea.. you need a reservation."  Like that's a given! lol  Oops. lol.  Didn't know!  So I made a reservation for brunch at 2 o clock.

But ok, on to the fun part!  When you first walk in, there's complimentary champagne! ^_^  

You walk into this little champagne room area and grab your champagne and then you are seated.

And this was some quality champagne!  Like one sip had you floating pretty much lol.

And then we went on to ordering our meal.

I went ahead and got the lemon chicken mixed greens salad as shown above.(By the way, this salad was like the BEST salad I ever had.  I promise. It was so freaking good!) My mom ended up going with the same and we also got matching drinks!  There's a specialty drinks list here and we got the mojitos which were amaazing! The pellegrino was complimentary too.

Afterwards, they give you a little box of cookies from the Dolce bakery on Robertson like a little gift. =)

The one thing I'd say is be prepared for how small and close together everything is.  Especially inside.  I'd choose a corner table so that you have more room and more of your own space.  But I'd choose inside over outside any day.  Each table is garnished with fresh roses too which I thought was so beautiful! ..  But deff bee attracting lol.  So uh. yeah!  Inside is the way to go I think.  The roses are more fresh outside on the patio area and the patio area is kind of really cute like a little garden but I'm just an inside girl. Plus, outside you have to deal with insects (which I saw people dealing with) and other outside elements but the possible bee situation alone was enough to want to sit inside lol! sorry!

And that's my experience at the Ivy! I loooved it and will definitely go again! I recommend this place and give it 5 hearts!

Work Boos

Work Boos 

(everybody gots one)

I think an appropriate way of starting this article is stating the definition of a work boo (a term I completely made up but is real! lol)

Work Boo- A work boo is a special someone of the opposite sex (or same sex I guess considering our society today) at work that you lowkey consider your boo in your head while having either a significant other or girlfriend/boyfriend.

wooh. That was a mouthful! 

Now this concept may seem funny.  Laughable even.  But just ask yourself.. Is it though?

In a boring, sometimes even horrendous environment, where we desperately might be seeking a source of fun/distraction or any kind of interesting stimulation whatsoever, is a work boo really all that laughable?  I would say the answer is no.  Actually, probably most of the people that might come across this post  probably have a work boo themselves and are either aware or are just not.

Why work boo?

So some may be thinking, why do we work boo?  Why do we do this and what is the reasoning behind it?  Are we not happy in our current relationships?  Or is it something else?

I'll tell you exactly why people work boo.  The answer is one little word. One little word responsible for ruining a multitude of things in life. And that word is boredom. Yes.  Something as simple as [boredom] is the perfect recipe for disaster.. or something like this lol.  It's also the perfect recipe for wonderful things because it's the recipe for change.  As human beings, we get bored and change WILL come.  Whatever it may be. 

But back to "love" at work lol.  Being in an environment more than likely doing things you can't stand, literally waiting for the work day to be over with is the most perfect environment for something like this. We WANT a distraction!  That's why I call it "work" boo.  Because you can have a boo anywhere, but the main place you'll have one is at work.  It's just how it goes.

Basically, we are unconsciously seeking work boos all the time (someone to be attracted to), to distract from what it is we don't wanna experience, whether we know it or not.  And that's basically it.  And not even the perfect candidate.  Because we work with all types of people.  Just someone. And within close proximity. That's all it takes.

Have you ever been around someone and didn't think they were attractive at all?  Like in no way shape or form.  But while working with them over and over, everyday they get a little more attractive just by simply being around them?  This is also how a work boo can emerge.  We are already wanting and looking for a distraction.  And then, a person appears.  They don't have to be mr. perfect/ ms. perfect.  They just have to be a person.  Scary right?  

This is how affairs begin too.  If you know how people and attraction work generally, you know that the person doesn't even have to be cute.  That just helps.  They just have to be a person and our mind will do the rest.  Our mind will literally "create" an attraction to anyone just to make our jobs more interesting lol.  That's how powerful the mind is.., and how f'd up emotions can be lol.  Unaware people probably just think they are truly in love with everyone while all the while their mind was just playing little tricks on them.   


The Misconception

Now, work boo doesn't mean your sleeping with this person or even going on dates. Aha! 
So you didn't get away, those that thought that that's what had to be going on to technically consider that person a work boo lol. YOU know if you got a work boo or not.lol   All they have to be is someone your open to and someone you more than likely flirt with.  That's it. And I would say that's everyone minus a few people.  It's just human nature I think. 

It's scary to think about that though.  The fact that more than likely your boo has a work boo and just about everyone has a job. And if they are not careful, it can turn into a full blown affair or cheating.  I think affairs/cheating occur because people start off as work boos.. and then it builds up strong feelings after so long that they interpret as being real feelings and then eventually end up acting on said feelings that were never real to begin with.  Emotions are a funny thing.  But anyways.  We arent talking about affairs here, just work boos lol. 

So..    

Are you still confused as to if YOU have a work boo or not?  Then keep scrolling.

Japan Goody in the mail today!!!!

Japan Goody!!! <3 ^_^

So I got this little goody from japan in the mail. And I had to do a little short blog on it because I've never really gotten something from a seller in this way. It was so nicely put together and so special that I just had to share.

So first the bag came like this.

I just thought it was precious and darling. Not the regular mailing envelopes or a box or anything. It came just like this. It was like a brown bag with everything typed out on the bag and taped to it and folded over and taped like a lunch bag.

Then when I open it, I saw it was the lash holder I ordered which I wanna share too. It looks like this.

This is actually much larger than I thought it would be but that's OK. Its a lash and adhesive holder which I been wanting ever since I saw it! 

Here's the interior

There's three compartments. 1 for each lash and then your adhesive and tweezers. Much better than just throwing it in your purse like I've been doing. lol  I looove this lash holder!

There's actually another version of this that holds more lashes but this one is MUCH better in my opinion because the lashes have a better chance of staying in place.

ANYWAYS. back to the packaging which is more of the reason why I wanted to blog about this. Along with this was a little bag filled with origami papers.

With it was 2 paper cranes that the seller made himself! & I guess he gave me the papers so that I can make my own origami. I just thought this was so special. And the papers were so pretty and high quality.

And along with this was a note in broken English telling me he's taking English classes so sorry for the broken English and that he hopes I enjoy the product. 

It was just so homemade and detailed and special and it really made my day! I was not expecting that in any way! I freaking got this on amazon! lolso I was definitely not expecting all that. It really did feel like a little gift in the mail from a penpal I had or something.

p.s something happened with my internet today. aaargh. But I was determined to blog this so I ended up doing the entire thing from my phone lol smh. Its always something. I promise! but eh. road block averted.

So I stopped by Walgreen's today after work to get some body lotion & I find this..

First the packaging is beautiful!! Then it's in my FAVORITE Disney movie packaging! It's even my most favorite lash company. Ardell Lashes. AND it's on sell for like 2 bucks! By the way, Just a single pair of ardell lashes are about 4 dollars so for the whole kit to be 2 bucks is a steal! literally! lol Find of the year for me so needless to say. HAD TO! & I couldn't b happier with the purchase!

Great way to cap my Monday and start the week! and I can't wait to try them on and feel like princess jasmine lol.

BeautyCon 2015!!!

BeautyCon 2015!!!! <3

This year 7/11 I went to BeautyCon 2015!!!!!!

This was my first time ever going to BeautyCon and also I made it kind of point to make sure I make it to this years event and it was AMAZING! 

All things beauty. All things girly. Celebs, youtubers and beauty bloggers.  What more can you ask for really? lol And also like minded individuals who are obsessed with everything your obsessed with!  Since this was my first time, I kind of went more as a spectator just to get the feel of what BeautyCon is actually like and just absorb it all in.  So like I dressed more chill and just had a good time. No heels and hair did and all this lol.  But I did do my hair but you know what I mean lol.

I just wore my iron reef shirt with a pair of jeans and sneakers.  And I packed my hello kitty backpack with all my stuff and I was good to go!

For my hair, I just curled it all Shirley Temple style and did a simple pink lip and cat liner. And I put on my rainbow heart sunglasses.  I thought, if there was such thing as a perfect day to wear these, this was that day! lol

So what is BeautyCon?

So just to explain to people who don't know what BeautyCon is, it's basically a giant beauty expo.  It travels around the world but I think it's birth place was L.A if I'm not mistaken.  Just before the event in L.A, this convention was in London.  It's an event where beauty lovers go to look at whats new in beauty basically.  Con is just short for convention and they have conventions for many things aside from beauty. Like VidCon for youtubers and comicon for comic heads etc etc..

Getting In

So when I first got there, I automatically noticed a loooong line outside the building.. like wrapped around. And a couple times at that. =( I was like an hour late as well and if your an hour late, you can forget about parking in the parking lots  right by the event.  You just gotta fend for yourself basically.  Also it was held right there in downtown on Broadway at the reef.  Finding parking was a fiasco all it's own. lol But I won't even get into that.  So I'm walking through downtown and I finally see the building and strangely that huuuge line I saw disappeared.  I really don't know what happened to be honest.  I guess the line just went fast?  Idk. But I asked a security guard and he was like "oh yeah, you just walk around the side" and basically I just walked right into the event! lol No waiting at all! And I had general tickets, nothing special.So that was kind of awesome!!!  I walk in and see the stage, and rides and setups, food trucks etc. 

I'm walking by and the first person I see, (not a beauty influencer or anything) but I saw Chrisette Michelle!!! lol  So random! lol but yeah!  I saw her walking with a girl who I think was her artist but I didn't notice the other girl at the time.  So that was kind of cool.  I'm mad I didn't get a pic of her but she was so pretty!  Pictures don't do justice of her either.  Anyways, so I'm looking at the booths and I see all the girls I watch on You tube and it was pretty cool and surreal! 

  

The best way to describe coming to BeautyCon is seeing Youtube and Instagram collectively come to life right in front of you! lol It's like surreal! I hope that makes sense. That's the best way I can describe it lol.  All the people I follow and watch on Youtube walking around and talking in real life.  So I walk around and then get to the actual building because there's an inside and outside.  Inside is the main part of BeautyCon and outside is more for the concert/food and drinks and stuff.

So I get to the building and there's a swarm of girls and were all waiting to get inside.  That's the only part where I really had to wait actually. I guess they can only let so many people in at once or something.  But you get in and there's a desk with beautycon shirts and swag and that's where I got my beautycon shirt from.  Then you go on the elevators and by the way! I was just in the elevator and noticed baddiewinkle was just chilling behind me! lol I tell ya. It was like the internet come to life.  Then you get upstairs and it looks like this.

        

I am actually not too sure what the platform is lol. But anyways, this is the first thing you see when walking in.

And you walk around and it's kind of like a little beauty maze with mini pop up shops and things to look at.  There was an area for beauty discussions and panels and like classes for makeup application etc.. 

The pink carpet! <3

This area was so cute! This is tied for my second favorite thing at beautycon.  And this is the area where it felt like my instagram came to life lol.  I saw basically all the mua's I follow on IG.  Also, I saw this girl named arika that I watch on youtube too.  She's like a beauty/fitness/vlogger person on youtube and she looked just like she does on youtube but better! with her little LV purse.  It's weird how people look so much better and glam in person than they do on camera.  It's like it translates different for some reason so if you want to be glam on camera, then it's like you have to b super glam in real life and that goes for looking fat and all that.  It's like the pics and camera just do this weird thing and make you look not as good.  And ugh, I didn't get a pic of her either.  And this time I actually had my cam out but there was just so many people and I didn't get the pic =(.

They also had a touch ups area which was actually one of my favorite things there!

I tried to slyly take this lol.  But this guy did such an amazing freaking job on my makeup and he was so nice too!  He used all mac products also and when he was done, it literally looked like I was airbrushed lol.  I was so sad to wash it all off later.  Also, his brushes were amazing!! I'm thinking they were mac too but they felt so velvety soft!! Products really do make a world of difference I think.  Because my brushes literally feel like bricks compared to his lol.

Right next to this, they actually had a little hair studio section and people were legit getting their hair done!

That girl on the right got a full on hair cut and style right in the middle of everything lol.  And like a severe cut too because she had really long hair and they cut it almost pixie style.

I don't know how those girls did that because it was scorching hot this day too having all those hot irons and blow dyers but hey, to each their own.  

After the touch ups, I also found this glitter lip bar in there that was pretty cool.  But I just got my lips redone with the touch ups so I didn't wanna mess up my pink lips so I just skipped this one.  But it did give me some ideas for some lip looks I wanna do. When walking by here, I saw Karrueche Tran (chris browns ex) right there by the lip bar.  I actually didn't notice until people starting yelling her name.  But I was kind of shocked to see how many celebs come to BeautyCon.  I just thought it would strictly be youtubers and bloggers. But no, there were some celebs there too and just walking around like regular people, looking at the makeup stuff too lol. I saw later on IG that Zendeya was there too.   

Also, somewhere in this maze is a barbie lounge!

This was probably also my second favorite part of BeautyCon.  I liked the barbie lounge alot and actually! They had a photo booth in here that I didn't know about that takes your picture from all angles and makes a little animation of you moving around from all angles just like how they do on the red carpets on E!  But I found this out later on IG when I was looking at beautycon pics and saw people doing the camera thing!  I was like aw man!  Like I saw it but I thought it was a display or something.  Im so slow sometimes lol.

After the barbie lounge, I headed back outside to see the performances and got something from the food trucks.  The greek truck was the most popular and had the best looking food there so I got something from there.  And you know with food trucks, they always have these crazy kind of concoctions and just very different stuff.

So anyways I got a gyro and the zues fries! lol

  This is actually the first time I had a gyro!

And it was really good! To me anyways. (someone wasn't a fan lol. I wont mention any names.)  I think it wouldn't be considered a real like authentic gyro but it was really good.

There was also this nail truck right by the stage. 

There were girls in there getting manis and pedis.  I thought this was just such a cute little idea. 

On the outside of things, BeckyG/Cody Simpson  and some other performers who I didn't know performed.  Graveyard Girl from youtube was there as well as Bethany Mota. I actually already saw and spoke to Bethany Mota at dancing with the stars when she was there.  Btw, these two had the longest lines out of all the beauty influencers! But personally.. as much as I like all of these youtubers, I'm just not gonna stand in these long ass lines lol. Sorry.  Not even for fashionista804 who I love.  I'm just not a fangirl for anyone like that.  I think it might be a little below my age group.  I'm not sure. But I'm a little more about the products and festivities if you know what I mean. 

Anyways, after the madness I headed back to my car and made it there pretty quick.  I tried to head out just before an avalanche hit the exit!lol There is nothing worse than being caught in an avalanche of people trying to all go in the same direction.  So anyway, found my car and petaled to the metal!  This day was a hot ass day.. This was when that heat wave was still going on so to end my day right, I made a little pit stop to Starbucks and got my favorite drink. An iced chai soy latte!

I had no idea they had these cute little summery cups too! It was perfect. I'm not really a Starbucks queen so I don't know the little things they got and when they add new stuff. 

But anyways, BeautyCon was a blast and a day to remember!! If you haven't gone and your a beauty lover, I definitely recommend it! <3
