This year 7/11 I went to BeautyCon 2015!!!!!!

This was my first time ever going to BeautyCon and also I made it kind of point to make sure I make it to this years event and it was AMAZING! 

All things beauty. All things girly. Celebs, youtubers and beauty bloggers.  What more can you ask for really? lol And also like minded individuals who are obsessed with everything your obsessed with!  Since this was my first time, I kind of went more as a spectator just to get the feel of what BeautyCon is actually like and just absorb it all in.  So like I dressed more chill and just had a good time. No heels and hair did and all this lol.  But I did do my hair but you know what I mean lol.

I just wore my iron reef shirt with a pair of jeans and sneakers.  And I packed my hello kitty backpack with all my stuff and I was good to go!

For my hair, I just curled it all Shirley Temple style and did a simple pink lip and cat liner. And I put on my rainbow heart sunglasses.  I thought, if there was such thing as a perfect day to wear these, this was that day! lol

So what is BeautyCon?

So just to explain to people who don't know what BeautyCon is, it's basically a giant beauty expo.  It travels around the world but I think it's birth place was L.A if I'm not mistaken.  Just before the event in L.A, this convention was in London.  It's an event where beauty lovers go to look at whats new in beauty basically.  Con is just short for convention and they have conventions for many things aside from beauty. Like VidCon for youtubers and comicon for comic heads etc etc..

Getting In

So when I first got there, I automatically noticed a loooong line outside the building.. like wrapped around. And a couple times at that. =( I was like an hour late as well and if your an hour late, you can forget about parking in the parking lots  right by the event.  You just gotta fend for yourself basically.  Also it was held right there in downtown on Broadway at the reef.  Finding parking was a fiasco all it's own. lol But I won't even get into that.  So I'm walking through downtown and I finally see the building and strangely that huuuge line I saw disappeared.  I really don't know what happened to be honest.  I guess the line just went fast?  Idk. But I asked a security guard and he was like "oh yeah, you just walk around the side" and basically I just walked right into the event! lol No waiting at all! And I had general tickets, nothing special.So that was kind of awesome!!!  I walk in and see the stage, and rides and setups, food trucks etc. 

I'm walking by and the first person I see, (not a beauty influencer or anything) but I saw Chrisette Michelle!!! lol  So random! lol but yeah!  I saw her walking with a girl who I think was her artist but I didn't notice the other girl at the time.  So that was kind of cool.  I'm mad I didn't get a pic of her but she was so pretty!  Pictures don't do justice of her either.  Anyways, so I'm looking at the booths and I see all the girls I watch on You tube and it was pretty cool and surreal! 

  

The best way to describe coming to BeautyCon is seeing Youtube and Instagram collectively come to life right in front of you! lol It's like surreal! I hope that makes sense. That's the best way I can describe it lol.  All the people I follow and watch on Youtube walking around and talking in real life.  So I walk around and then get to the actual building because there's an inside and outside.  Inside is the main part of BeautyCon and outside is more for the concert/food and drinks and stuff.

So I get to the building and there's a swarm of girls and were all waiting to get inside.  That's the only part where I really had to wait actually. I guess they can only let so many people in at once or something.  But you get in and there's a desk with beautycon shirts and swag and that's where I got my beautycon shirt from.  Then you go on the elevators and by the way! I was just in the elevator and noticed baddiewinkle was just chilling behind me! lol I tell ya. It was like the internet come to life.  Then you get upstairs and it looks like this.

        

I am actually not too sure what the platform is lol. But anyways, this is the first thing you see when walking in.

And you walk around and it's kind of like a little beauty maze with mini pop up shops and things to look at.  There was an area for beauty discussions and panels and like classes for makeup application etc.. 

The pink carpet! <3

This area was so cute! This is tied for my second favorite thing at beautycon.  And this is the area where it felt like my instagram came to life lol.  I saw basically all the mua's I follow on IG.  Also, I saw this girl named arika that I watch on youtube too.  She's like a beauty/fitness/vlogger person on youtube and she looked just like she does on youtube but better! with her little LV purse.  It's weird how people look so much better and glam in person than they do on camera.  It's like it translates different for some reason so if you want to be glam on camera, then it's like you have to b super glam in real life and that goes for looking fat and all that.  It's like the pics and camera just do this weird thing and make you look not as good.  And ugh, I didn't get a pic of her either.  And this time I actually had my cam out but there was just so many people and I didn't get the pic =(.

They also had a touch ups area which was actually one of my favorite things there!

I tried to slyly take this lol.  But this guy did such an amazing freaking job on my makeup and he was so nice too!  He used all mac products also and when he was done, it literally looked like I was airbrushed lol.  I was so sad to wash it all off later.  Also, his brushes were amazing!! I'm thinking they were mac too but they felt so velvety soft!! Products really do make a world of difference I think.  Because my brushes literally feel like bricks compared to his lol.

Right next to this, they actually had a little hair studio section and people were legit getting their hair done!

That girl on the right got a full on hair cut and style right in the middle of everything lol.  And like a severe cut too because she had really long hair and they cut it almost pixie style.

I don't know how those girls did that because it was scorching hot this day too having all those hot irons and blow dyers but hey, to each their own.  

After the touch ups, I also found this glitter lip bar in there that was pretty cool.  But I just got my lips redone with the touch ups so I didn't wanna mess up my pink lips so I just skipped this one.  But it did give me some ideas for some lip looks I wanna do. When walking by here, I saw Karrueche Tran (chris browns ex) right there by the lip bar.  I actually didn't notice until people starting yelling her name.  But I was kind of shocked to see how many celebs come to BeautyCon.  I just thought it would strictly be youtubers and bloggers. But no, there were some celebs there too and just walking around like regular people, looking at the makeup stuff too lol. I saw later on IG that Zendeya was there too.   

Also, somewhere in this maze is a barbie lounge!

This was probably also my second favorite part of BeautyCon.  I liked the barbie lounge alot and actually! They had a photo booth in here that I didn't know about that takes your picture from all angles and makes a little animation of you moving around from all angles just like how they do on the red carpets on E!  But I found this out later on IG when I was looking at beautycon pics and saw people doing the camera thing!  I was like aw man!  Like I saw it but I thought it was a display or something.  Im so slow sometimes lol.

After the barbie lounge, I headed back outside to see the performances and got something from the food trucks.  The greek truck was the most popular and had the best looking food there so I got something from there.  And you know with food trucks, they always have these crazy kind of concoctions and just very different stuff.

So anyways I got a gyro and the zues fries! lol

  This is actually the first time I had a gyro!

And it was really good! To me anyways. (someone wasn't a fan lol. I wont mention any names.)  I think it wouldn't be considered a real like authentic gyro but it was really good.

There was also this nail truck right by the stage. 

There were girls in there getting manis and pedis.  I thought this was just such a cute little idea. 

On the outside of things, BeckyG/Cody Simpson  and some other performers who I didn't know performed.  Graveyard Girl from youtube was there as well as Bethany Mota. I actually already saw and spoke to Bethany Mota at dancing with the stars when she was there.  Btw, these two had the longest lines out of all the beauty influencers! But personally.. as much as I like all of these youtubers, I'm just not gonna stand in these long ass lines lol. Sorry.  Not even for fashionista804 who I love.  I'm just not a fangirl for anyone like that.  I think it might be a little below my age group.  I'm not sure. But I'm a little more about the products and festivities if you know what I mean. 

Anyways, after the madness I headed back to my car and made it there pretty quick.  I tried to head out just before an avalanche hit the exit!lol There is nothing worse than being caught in an avalanche of people trying to all go in the same direction.  So anyway, found my car and petaled to the metal!  This day was a hot ass day.. This was when that heat wave was still going on so to end my day right, I made a little pit stop to Starbucks and got my favorite drink. An iced chai soy latte!

I had no idea they had these cute little summery cups too! It was perfect. I'm not really a Starbucks queen so I don't know the little things they got and when they add new stuff. 

But anyways, BeautyCon was a blast and a day to remember!! If you haven't gone and your a beauty lover, I definitely recommend it! <3

Miracle Story

Miracle Story <3

So the other day, my little Jesse got away again.. =,( He got out the side of the house and got lost again. And if you follow me on twitter or anything you see how I post pics and talk about him all the time!  I take him everywhere.  Jesse is like my son!  My furry little son! lol Obviously because I titled this, the miracle story, there is a wonderful ending but keep reading (if you'd like lol). I been meaning to write a blog on this too.  Not because I would ever share this story, just because it was such an awful experience for me.  But how it ends is such a miracle that I felt it needed to be shared!

So I found out he got out again and I started to cry right away.  I was sooo sad because if you've read before, this isn't the first time but the 2ND time he got lost!  In my mind, because this was the 2nd time..,  I felt like this was it.  This was it!  There was no way on gods earth that a miracle would happen not once but twice!  So my heart was just soo broke.  Broken as if there just was no fixing it.  In those moments, I can say there was a period where it felt like it was a permanent break (because for all I knew at the time, that truly was it ='().  It was a no hope feeling and as if that was just it and life just must go on somehow the next day like this didn't just happen.  

Anyways.  Backtrack to the last time.  I was just as hurt and I went out looking for him in the neighborhood right away.  I looked for hours.  Asking every neighbor.  6 hours later there was just no sign of him.  This was a couple years back, and I remember just going into action mode.  I prayed but I more so went directly into action and logical thinking mode, Like ok, I checked here, now I'll check here, then I'll print flyers, then I'll check the pound without really stopping to think..  I was in a state of depression after all. (You know those moments when you don't want to stop being  in action and looking and moving forward because if you do, it feels like whatever happened is a permanent thing?)  That's how I felt. so I looked day and night and didnt find him for 4 whole long and depressing days.  But this time.. when he got lost, and by the time I had found out, It was already late night.. and I just came from work.  So it was already at a point where I couldn't really look for him because it was dark outside and late as well.  But I did take a flashlight and walk all around the neighborhood. But it was kind of hard because it was just too dark. (And it doesn't help that he is a very dark chocolate color lol).  So basically after running around my neighborhood with a flashlight and a late night drive to the pound just to be disappointed, I just sat in my house, in the dark because I just couldn't sleep and I was in a very deep depression.  I couldn't watch tv or anything. Because like I said, you don't want to do those things in those moments.  When you sit there and watch a show or look at youtube, its as if life is going on passed that moment and it makes it feel like that moment will be permanent.  And as much as it hurts, you want to keep thinking about it because in some strange way you want to feel the sadness so that its like they are still there.  In your mind at least.  But anyways.  I sat in the dark for a long time.  I started really thinking and reflecting on many things in my life. I started praying but not from the place I prayed from some years back.  (Years back.. I was praying just that he would be safe and that I would find him. That's it.  Towards the end I reached a place of praying for certain areas of my life and my family's lives and other people as well. I remember praying and just certain things I wont share here but touching on certain things and BAM!  I found him the next day at the pound. It was literally that instant!   This was last time though.. I never thought in a million years I'd find him again or he'd find me.)

The Miracle moment

I was sitting there in the dark, tears still coming down my face, I prayed again, but this time, coming from the place I did when I lost him last time around the fourth day.  I reflected deeply and prayed for clarity for myself and I prayed about certain things in my life and my family's life that I wont share here because it is very personal.  This was at 2am exactly.  I was sitting in the dark praying something specific and I had just finished. And the SECOND after, I hear this BIG sound at the door!  It was a BIG scratching sound that almost sounded like a thud that I never heard.  I ran to the door and opened it and he was just sitting there on my doorstep!!!!!...... 

It literally felt like an unreal surreal moment! 

God literally delivered him on my doorstep with almost no work on my part! (by the way, I prayed that also which was that maybe somehow miraculously he would just show up). 

If that's not a miracle, I don't know what is!!! He somehow found his way home (in the dark mind you) when he was nowhere to be found in the neighborhood  just before because I checked all over everywhere. Also no one had seen him.  He was lost a total of 12 hours as well.  Somehow he just found his way home and ALSO, He came to the door and scratched the hell out of the door to signal me to come to the door which he has never done in his entire life!  I literally couldn't believe it.  Most people don't find there dogs the first time they loose them.. I found my dog the first time and then the second time he found me.  I just think that is a miracle and that I had to share.  Prayer works miracles and I believe things happen in the universe way beyond our understanding and there is always a reason or reason(s).

I also thought,  once he was here that, the 2 key factors in these experiences is that I got to a spiritual place of understanding and literally right after, that's when I either found him or he found me.  It's kind of trippy but it goes to show, that there are two sides to life.  The practical side like me looking all over for him, and the metaphysical/mental and spiritual side in life.  I believe it's like 50/50. There's a practical side in life where you "do" actions for a certain reaction, but there's also the other 50 percent which is the thinking.  If your mind is not right, then it doesn't matter how many places you look or this or that.  You wont find what your looking for unless its aligned up with you and you are ready to receive it in a sense.  Some will understand that and some wont but I'll leave it at that.    

  I know some people think that things happen randomly and as human beings we just like to think that things happen for a reason and there is a meaning.  But I believe this because everything has it's purpose.  Even when you look at the ecosystem, the trees, everything has its purpose and so do circumstances and events that happen that can seem so random.  But they have there purpose as well because to every cause there is an effect!

There were a multitude of things that happened that night and people I talked and so fourth that wouldn't have happened, and I wouldn't have talked to if he hadn't gotten lost.  So there were a chain of events that took place after and I feel like somewhere in that chain of events, something happened so that he could come back.  That's what I believe.    

When he came home I just hugged and kissed him so much! 

I thought I would never see him again and there he was barking like crazy! lol I literally screamed!!!

Also.. Before all this happened, there was this puppy ice cream I was thinking to get him.  Every time I passed it, I thought eh, another time.  After all that happened, I went to the store and got him that puppy ice cream! lol Literally the next day and he loved it so much!  I guess that's to say don't wait.  If you wanna do something. Do it!  Life is too short.  Get the puppy ice scream! Get yourself a treat too! lol Live and be merry! 

I think the lesson here is that we must pay attention to life.  There is reason amidst the chaos and we must pay attention.  And pray, and be spiritual. But also, live!  Life is so short and you never know when it'll be your last day or when you'll see your puppy last.  And lastly be grateful and thankful.  Never stop being grateful because we have so much to be grateful for.  Our human nature makes us get comfortable and forget to be thankful.  Like that is naturally apart of us but I feel like we have to combat it and not be lazy about it and say no!  I will feel as grateful in this moment as I should feel even though I'm already so comfortable and used to the many blessings I have in my life.  And that is all.  

I hope this helps someone.  It took me some days to sit down and write this because to me, writing it is reliving it to some degree but I felt it was a responsibility to relive it and share it so that it doesn't go in vain in anyway.  Maybe someone else will read this and it will give them comfort if they lost there dog and maybe it just may bring there dog back to them.

p.s he will not be getting lost again.  I took measures to make sure of it!! =)

Hello Kitty Haul!!!!!!!! <3

Hellooooo!!! 

Today is a very special day. 1 because I'm off!! lol yes! and 2. because I'm doing my first ever haul!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a very special day indeed! I know this may seem strange but hello kitty in  some ways is a part of how I started this blog actually. And I kind of told myself that if I ever started doing hauls, hello kitty MUST be the first!! lol

In honor of today, I'm wearing my favorite hello kitty chain that I got a little over a year ago. <3

So let's just get started already!

The first thing I will show as the true lush that I am is the Hello Kitty Wiiiiiine!!!!!!!!! 

 What?! Hello Kitty Wiine?!  Yes!  There is such thing as this!

I just think this is the most cutest and perfect thing ever!! Whoever came up with this is a genius lol. Good job hello kitty people. I first saw this on Facebook and I was literally like =0. Hello Kitty literally has everything in the world! lol.  Screenshot it and the rest is history! lol When I first saw it I was confused on what the drink actually was.  I thought it was a champagne or something but actually it's a sparkling wine which I've never had before so it will be interesting to try. =] <3

The next goodie is this cheetah print purse!!!

  

    Can we just take a moment of silence for this purse!!..Can we please!!.. I just cant!!! I kind of feel goose pimply all over from it. I had seen this purse and variations of it some time ago at the mall and I wanted it right away!  But I decided to be good and not get it lol.  I mean, Hello Kitty purses are not cheap by no means lol But then.. While in a store that wasn't even really a hello kitty store...  I saw this and this time on sale!  So there really was no thoughts about this. It was already in my hand before I could think no lol. so welp! yolo lol Here it is in all its spendor and beauty!

Its the perfect combo of two of my favorite things.  It's hello kitty and cheetah print.. I mean. There kind of is no saying no to that for me.  It's girly, cute and perfect! 

Here is a look at the interior <3

   The closure is magnetic and there is two ways of carrying it.  You can use the long strap like an actual purse or you can carry it by the two handles like a cute little briefcase lol.  And the interior is so cute too!  I actually just noticed that while hauling.  I took all the stuffing out and it was like a little surprise lol.  Little hello kitty heads all over! 

The next thing I wanna show is this super cute and sparkly hello kitty bracelet!!

This one was a bit of a whim but I just thought it was so cute and perfect! I don't have any hello kitty bracelets either so I thought why not. The closure is actually at the top under the hello kitty head and snaps shut like a little cuff.  I really like the double rings on this also. =)

Next is this HK tumbler!!! <3

The perfection is REAL!! lol This cup is the most perfect hello kitty cup ever in all the land!!!!!!!!!  I love tumblers and coffee mugs and it's actually something I kind of collected over the years without even knowing or trying.  I don't know what it is but there's something about drink holders.  Anyways, I saw this cup at Knotts Berry Farm actually.  I know that's so random.  This haul is from many different places all around and strangely, the majority of the places weren't actual sanrio stores except for maybe 1 item lol. I like to think of them as special finds.  But back to the cup!  This cup has to be the cutest thing I ever seen! Literally.  I saw it and there was no question I was buying it!  There's this store in knotts berry farm.  I dont remember the name or where it was in the theme park but if you ever go and stumble upon it, youll know you found the store I'm talking about because basically it is a ginormous hello kitty/ all girly things store. It was like girl central.  There was literally a wall dedicated to all things hello kitty.  I immediately went into a trance. I lost my family..lol I was just gone!  

Anyways. I saw this hk tumbler and a tote bag with the same design on it.  I decided to go ahead with the tumbler.  Something about this cup reminds me of me and my little boo jesse.  I call him bear as a nickname because he kind of looks like a miniature grizzly bear to me lol and the little stuffed animal she's holding happens to be a bear also! so I was just sold! 

The cap is a twisty one and this is how it looks open.  I actually really like this verses a wide open cup.  I feel like it works much better for drinking and especially if your drinking on the go.  The feeling of drinking from it is like drinking from a water bottle verses this big sloppy cup so I like that a lot.  I figure this will help me to drink more water too.  Because dont we all wanna drink more water? lol.  I thought it would be good for putting water and maybe sparkling waters in there. My new fav cup! ^_^

The next thing I wanna show in more detail is actually right behind it.  This miniature Hello Kitty shell purse from the loungefly collection!!!

Isnt this purse everything?? lol I die literally! lol I'm still just as excited about this purse and I've already used and had it for awhile.  I love everything about it.  The mini size!  Because after time the bigger version of this can be a bit overwhelming though I love that size too. The patterns of all the different hello kitties! lol.  And just the colors and textures and ah! lol. 

There is two purses I wanted to include in the hual that weren't technically apart of this haul but I just wanted to share because it is hello kitty after all! I thought it would only be right for my first ever hello kitty haul! and I never showed this mini purse!  This is the item that is actually from the hello kitty store. And when I saw it, I had the biggest eyegasm lol. I still do sometimes. AND. It comes with the matching wallet!

Purse porn galore today! lol  I just love this purse so stinking much! I love the pattern, the little red bow and also, its in my favorite textures for purses and wallets so I love the way it looks and the way the wallet feels in my hands.

The interior is all shiny black! =) with plently of room for cash and cards and a pocket in the middle.  Even the little zipper says hello kitty!

And then we have the giant hot pink loungefly purse I've shown many times. 

This has become my go to purse for the movies.  I put my blanket in there. And sometimes goodies *shh* and I'm good to go! lol 

I use to be super over protective with this bag. Like I didn't stuff too much in,  always put it in the dust bag it came in because it was "the precious" u know. Grabbed the cat when she tried to rub up on it.lol But after enough using it and banging it around, you let that go lol. It's still one of my most beloved purses though! 

And I saved one of the best for last.  Going back to the knotts berry farm store, after I found the tumbler, I spotted this and fell in love right away!  This little clutch literally SPOKE to me!  It said, you must buy me NOW! No question! lol Some things are cute, some things are must haves, and some things literally speak to you off the wall! And this was one of those things!   I haven't seen this clutch anywhere to be honest.  So I felt like this was a really unique find and I couldn't be happier that we were joined together! lol

Pink velvety goodness! 

So you might be thinking.. what could you put in that small little thing?  I thought the same. And then I thought, the bare essentials!  This would be a perfect purse for going to a bar for a drink or just a place where you might want to be hands free without a bulky purse weighing you down. Maybe the beach also would be a nice place to use this.  Its like a hands free care free wristlet.  It's small enough for that but then spacious enough for a card and id but also a few makeup essentials like lip gloss etc.. gum, stuff like that.

You know whats funny?  I had no idea this was loungefly too!  I guess I was so in a trance that I didn't actually read the back or anything lol. But yeah.  This is also by that same company.  I'm slowly becoming a little loungefly collector lol.  Hey what can I say, there purses or so cute!!

And that is the end of this hual!!!! Aw. So sad!  But it won't be my last.  This will be Hello Kitty Haul 1 I'm sure. and I'm sure there will be many more to come because I will always collect Hello Kitty.  This is beyond a faze lol.  I saw this older lady (maybe in her 60's) at dollar tree one day who looked very youthful in spirit and super cute with makeup, wearing a little cheerleader skirt and a hello kitty top on and I thought. yup.. that's me many  years from now.lol

I actually had 1 little small thing extra to show.  As I been writing this, I been kind of waiting on the mail man.  But he's taking too long! lol. ugh. And I have been on and off writing this and waiting on him for 2 days in like a hello kitty vortex. lol Oh well.  

But I hope those who read this enjoy it, were entertained in some way and maybe even got sparked with excitement and want to search up some of the things I mentioned!
