Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Review!!!

SmashBox Full Exposure Palette Review!!!

I went to Ulta the other day and I came across the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette.  Saw it, tried it, looved it!!! If your a make up junkie like me, this belongs in your collection NOW!  Here's a look inside =)

They've claimed "It's the palette to end all palettes. & the little black dress of eye make up." lol  That's a pretty big statement lol but I wouldn't say it's too far off. It's a gorgeous all neutral palette!  I think every girl should have at least one palette like this.  This is what you call a classic kind of palette(as far as the colors are concerned).  So if you are looking for a classic or timeless kind of look, this is definitely the way to go.  The top are the shimmer shadows and the bottom are all matte.  The colors are stuuuning!  It's just creamy and shimmery, high quality and beautiful!  This was definitely the best pallete at Ulta!

I did some swatches for you guys so that your able to somewhat see the consistency but pictures never really do things justice in my opinion. They just never do for makeup or anything.  But here are a few shadows that were my fav.

I think the consistency comes out pretty good.  My favorite shadow is pretty light though which is the one farthest to the left but it's still super beautiful in person.  It's like a rose gold and it feels very vintage and glamorous.  All of the colors just look shimmery and magical.

I also like the approach to this palette. It comes with 14 shades and ones that are universally flattering so they look beautiful on all skin shades. For it, they studied 5,000 different eye shapes and put together a custom look sheet so you get the most out of the palette and make your specific eye shape look the best in can look.  There's also looks for day and night which is so cool I think!

I am also just as excited about the brush as I am the actual palette. Its a dual sided brush that is specific for shimmer shadows and blending!  Here's a close up of the brush.

To the right is the big round and soft blending brush.  To the left is a flat brush optimal for packing on the shimmer shadows. But wait! There's more!  This brush has a reverse side so half the bristles are white and the other are black for the shimmer brush like so.

This was a system designed so that you don't mix the dark and light colors!!! genius! who ever came up with this idea, freagin genius!  I feel like all brushes should be like this one and I feel like they will all be that way in the future just because it's a completely more efficient brush in my opinion.

The down side =(

It's a pretty pricey palette. $50 dollars to be exact. But in all honesty if you have the means, worth it!  Worth it! Worth it! Worth it! lol

I actually never tried Smashbox though I've always seen it.  I guess it never really appealed to me.  I'm more of an urban decay girl but I definitely had a change of heart.  I also tried a Smashbox lipstick in Electric Pink.  My lips were hella dry..  As they always are for some reason when I go to Ulta.. specifically.. lol  Like they didn't feel dry necessarily and if someone were to see them with no lipstick you wouldn't even know but that's the thing about make up.  It can hide flaws but it can also accentuate them too lol.  A double edge sword if you will.  That's why you see girls with these lip scrubbers and exfoliating products lol. Because it actually is necessary.  Anyways, the color was still gooorg!  Super pretty and just like hot. yeah. Hot is the word.  In a sentence to describe these products, the palette is beautiful but the lipstick is hot!  Here's a swatch.

Isn't that hot! lol  This is a kind of lipstick you wear when you want to be hot!  It's a type of lipstick you go out with your girlfriends in.  This is like a night on the town lipstick. hot mama lipstick! lol So yeah, definitely a fan of Smashbox now! =)
