Leonardo Dicaprio Rant!!!

Leonardo Dicaprio Rant!!!
(The Wolf of Wall Street)

The Wolf of Wall street was probably the worst movie I have ever seen!!! And It's sad because it stars one of my most favorite actors. Leonardo Dicaprio!

I've always thought of Leo to be the actor that acts for the sake of acting like art for the sake of art kind of thing. To do things just for the pure enjoyment of doing them with no need for accolades.  I mean, it's good to be appreciated but it isn't what matters in the end or at least it didn't seem to be for him.  He just seems like he doesn't take EVERY script (like some actors. *cough cough* Johnny Depp) or work with just any old director or something.  But he did take the wolf of wall street script, and he did work with whoever directed this piece of crap and all I wanna know is why??? Like why on earth? lol You do great movies like Shutter Island, Inception, Revolutionary Road etc.  Gatsby was good but kind of started to go down this path and then BAM. This movie!

I'm not angry.. I'm just disappointed.  Like when I first heard of The Wolf of Wall street, I was like I have to see it!!! From the exterior this seems like a good movie.  But also in general, I've come accustomed to just watching everything that Leonardo Dicaprio is in.  Like I let him pick the movie for me because that's how much I trust him as an actor.  I ended up not seeing it in theaters and seeing it on Netflix (hence the delay reaction) and absolutely HAAATED it! This was his worst movie by far to me.  He played this sleezy and corrupt business man that pretty much robbed his way to the top and called it success. And the story was directed so terribly also.  Now that I really think about it, that might have been the bigger culprit of culprits in this movie.  Some parts of the movie where like a montage of events instead of really going into them when it seems like it shouldn't have been.  And the montage was terrible! lol  The movie in general was so simplistic.  It was like a 3rd grader told this story. Seriously!

And lastly.. they topped it off nicely with having him do his most horrible accent EVER!! lol I could forgive the accent in shutter island lol. It was sooo sleezy! Like seeing men be at their lowest selves. Just hated it! I couldn't even get through half of it!  I don't know why these movies were chosen and done on his part lol.  There is a reason but it is beyond me! I have a feeling Gatsby was for the girls and Wallstreet was for the men? lol LEO! Go back to quality movies PLEASE!!!!!
and THANK YOU!

Nail Drama!

Nail Drama!

So storytime. I went to get my nails done as usual and the guy does a AWFUL freaking job!!! Sooo terrible! They all were breaking and becoming loose right away! >=((( At one point, my hands legit looked like they went through world war 2. And it gave me soooo much freaking stress!  I don't know what it is but when my nails are messed up, i get major anxiety. My heart pounds, my palms get sweaty too. It's weird.

I guess it's because I think about how awful they are, how I have to find another nail shop, how I gotta explain what happened and come in there with that world war 2 nail situation.  I worry if the same thing will happen again, how I have to be careful till I actually get to the nail shop and so on. So many things.  So at this point, all my nails were kind of messed up but only one nail completely broke so I decided just to find a nail shop really quickly, just fix that nail and call it a day.  I didn't have much time to do this as well which probably added to the anxiety.  So I'm walking around west hollywood trying to find a nail shop, find one and fix my nail.  Problem solved..or so I think...  Literally the next day I break another nail!  But this time its a different one.... -_-  Mind you, I just went to the nail shop the day before and payed 5 dollars to fix my nail, and also a tip of 2 dollars just because I felt like I should you know.  I always do when I get a regular fill so I ended up leaving the shop spending 7 dollars for 1 nail lol.. some messed up crap! But it happened. There's nothing I can do about it now so I leave it alone.  But when I break the other nail.  I'm pretty much furious!  I go back to the nail shop and to the same one because he actually did a really good job fixing my nail and explained why they weren't staying well and how he could fix it so it made me specifically come back to him and I just end up getting a fill.

Once I got that fill, I was on cloud 9.  I thought, my nails are perf.  Life is good. And you know, I ain't got no worrys!  lol  But then..., I freaking break another nail!! (different from the nail that broke before).........

At this point, I'm so exhausted.  I just didn't even wanna go back.  So I've been trooping on with some crazy glue because I been to the nail shop maybe four times in the span of less than 2 weeks.  But then days later, while leaning on my bed, I break another freaking nail!! This one actually hurt and this one I take the blame for because I did this one myself but it's just like come on!! Can I get a break!

So as of now, I'm typing with 2 broke nails! lol  Oh god! And It's gonna stay that way for the next couple days or so. Oh well lol. But I literally feel like I went through a nail nightmare. And am still currently going through it. -_-

I notice nail shops usually always do your nails nice the first 1 or 2 times and then after that, they do the most sloppy jobs ever!! They ask if your a new customer and if you are, they will do a wonderful job.  That's a trick if you want your nails done really nice and high quality.  If you say, you been there before, they will do your nails like you been there before lol. They don't care. This collectively happens everywhere though so I don't even trust the nail shop I fixed my nails at.  He did a really good job but I doubt that will last long.  It's actually really hard to find a good nail person. Very hard. So if I come across a nail tech that actually does a good job every time, I will be LOYAL!!! Hand to god! lol  I don't really get the logic of providing good service for only the first visit.  Don't they realize that once the service is bad, the customer will leave?  Why do they act like the customer will stay or that their aren't many many other nail shops to go to?
I don't understand that lol.  I think nail shops are the one place that has the worst customer service sometimes too.  They treat the customer like they will always be there and that the customer isn't what keeps their place in business or something. But anyway, I guess you live and learn. I will say though, that while getting my nails fixed, seeing a line of all gay men getting pedicures was kind of hilarious!! lol

Ah me!  A girl is nothing without her claws! I'm still on the quest to finding my perfect nail person.

Coconut Oil Beauty Treatments!

Coconut Oil Beauty Treatments <3

So while exploring YouTube I came across an inexpensive beauty treatment that's amazing!!!  It's a little something called coconut oil!  The reason why its so amazing is that it's hydrating in a very unique way compared to other oils. And obviously it's a multi purpose thing!  That's probably just as big as how hydrating it is.  Some know of this already, but I decided to put an article together for those who didn't know like me.  I wanted to put together a list of things I used my coconut oil for and the things I read you can use it for as well!

1. Hair mask!  I did this one a few days ago and I have never felt my hair so soft in my life!  It's so soft but not just soft.  It feels hydrated and healthy.  More so than it's ever felt with any other products I've ever used on my hair.  It makes your hair not just look soft but feel soft and healthy.  It's kind of amazing! You just massage the oil into your scalp and run it down your hair shafts until it is completely covered.  Then tie your hair up and put a bag over it and let it sit overnight.  People say all day or at least maybe a couple hours if you have the time.  But I recommend at night so that your hair can be hydrating as you sleep!

2.  Hair frizz/dryness!  You can also use it as a hair styling product.  Even just doing this makes it so soft. And it takes away frizziness and dryness without making it too oily. It takes away the frizziness while also hydrating it.  And your hair truly feels hydrated even just with a little bit to style it.  It feels like it helped me style it and take away frizziness while hydrating all day while it was in the hair.  It's like my hair absorbed it and became very hydrated and healthy throughout the day.  It didn't just sit "on" my hair. I think this is what weighs the hair down. So coconut oil doesn't really weigh it down either and I was surprised by that.  There is some weigh down depending on how much you use but not like I imagined it would be.  If you lightly apply, there will be no way down at all.

3. Face Moisturizer!  Yes.. It actually works as a wonderful moisturizer.  But do this in moderation if you have oily skin.  I went a little coconut oil crazy and pretty much globbed it on my face and kind of am suffering a break out at the moment. But the first time I used it, I did it sparingly and when I woke up, my face looked so hydrated and glowing literally!

4. Makeup Remover!  I used this to remove my makeup as well.  It works just the same as a makeup remover

5. Water Softer!  This one I discovered on my own.  I added a little coconut oil to my bath water and noticed how soooft the water was.  It was as soft as if I added water softener! No joke!

6. Shave!  You can also shave with it!  I used it on my legs and my legs never came out so silky smoothe I promise!

7. Body Moisturizer! You can make yourself a coconut oil bath or even just rub it on your skin by itself like a lotion.

Last but not least.  This might have been the most miraculous one.

8.Teeth Whitening! You can brush your teeth with coconut oil for about 2 minutes I'll say and you will have sparkly white teeth! And for literally pennys!  I took less than half a teaspoon and put it onto my brush and brushed my teeth for 2 minutes and my teeth were white instantly!  I was in the mirror like =000!!! lol Works better than any other teeth whitening treatment I used and heard about.  The others are not instant and waaay more expensive and difficult. I even watched a video today about this super expensive teeth whitening kit with molds and you have to create them and send it back to the company to get your trays and then you spend a couple hours with those on and it takes a few weeks to actually see results.  Also, your teeth get tingly after just like with many whitening treatments. With coconut oil, it's instant! And there was no tingly sensitiveness after.  I know it sounds nasty but when I spit after brushing, I spit all the stains out!  I could see it in my spit.  I know that's gross.  It was kind of crazy to see. And I drink a lot of coffee and wine.  It's kind of miraculous!!!

And these are just the ways I put coconut oil to use. There are so many more ways to use it.  I feel like I'm just getting started! lol There are many many more ways you can use coconut oil that I still need to try!  There will probably be a part 2 to this. The product lasts long as well.  A lot of people say that about a lot of products but this is the one product where I've seen that to be true more than others.  For your face you maybe need just the tip of a teaspoon.  That little!  and it will go a long way.
So I am in love with coconut oil!  I been using it every single day since I got it.  It's apart of my daily routine already!

Beverly Hills Rant

Beverly Hills Rant

(9021 oh no! )

No offense to beverhillians but this will be offensive. One of my jobs that is fairly new is in the West Hollywood/ Beverly hills area.  Where the crosswalks are rainbow and the boys are gay and fabulous lol.  Beautiful area but the people.. not so much.. but let me explain.  I'm more specifically talking about Beverly Hills "traffic".  There's not even words for the way these people drive.. I already seen multiple accidents happen right in front of me because people are just out of control! No one has patience. Everyone is PUMPing on their breaks and gas so freaking HARD!! Damn near crashing every time they stop.. Screaming, doing obscene and EXTRA gestures! but you know what.. I've come up with a theory why everyone is like that over here. Because people aren't just the way they are because they are the way they are if that makes sense.  There is a reason.  I think one is obvious and that is of course the congestion in this area.  That's a given.  But there's other areas that are congested and you don't feel like your in the pit of hell driving in it.  So what makes this place different?  I think it's the not having patience and the absence of more pressing concerns honestly.  In my area, it's less congested and also it's not an area like Beverly Hills or even Santa Monica for that matter.  It's just a regular working class area.  Nothing really plush about it. So because of this I think, and I know it sounds strange, people let you go first, they have more patience and we are much more polite on the road in general.  I know Santa Monica pretty well and it has a mix of plush and not so plush areas but the people almost have the same feelings and reactions as beverhillians but just a little more relaxed.. Over here though, people are on 100 all the time. lol. Like they don't even sit back fully in their seats lol. If you can picture that. Literally. looking for things to be upset with almost it seems.  I think when your in an area where collectively there aren't more pressing concerns such as bills and things like this, you start to focus outside of yourself and also on 'minor' things such as the way someone is driving for instance.

I think it's funny in general how if your lost for example so you may be driving a little slow, that the people behind you 'assume' that your just being 'rude'.  Like I am just taking my time to purposely piss the people off behind me. As if I have a grudge against someone I don't know for absolutely no reason lol. Or like I'm trying to play a little game with you lol.  This is something that happens everywhere but in this area specifically, it's like on 100 max at all times. And they let you know.  They speed off in a way that sounds like there car is gonna explode they put so much pressure on it.  AND not only do they speed off cause obviously they are in a big rush, they make sure they cut you off or do something very sarcastic through their window! lol Like a thumbs up for the way your driving. They gotta get you back lol. This one lady had to cut in front of me, and for me this is no big deal, but because of the area, she probably assumed this was a big deal to me (as I would assume also because people are such pricks on the road here) that she did the twinkle fingers at me to say thanks! lmao  Like instead of putting your hand up to say thanks, she sarcastically twinkled her fingers lol. Just a mess! lol

The other day, my car broke down.  My rim was literally on the floor!  I had my emergency lights on and everything to let others know.  And this car was honking like crazy behind me. Then they SPEED off and the woman in the car stared daggers at me like she was going to kill me!!  It's like what in the hell!  I can't mooove!!!! As I've been driving through here and know the area much better and what to expect from people, I've been able to deal with all of it much better.  But it's like stuff like that is ridiculous!  It shouldn't be that way.  They have beautiful streets and shops and it can't even be appreciated because the people are so nasty!
I suppose with much of a good thing has to come a bad thing also.  And along with the bad for Beverly Hills is pretty streets to drive in that you can't really even look at because your too busy trying to dodge for your life!
Rant ended!

PSA: Be kind to others. Don't assume that their actions has anything to do with you. Let people cut in and go in front of you. And with all these things, sit back in your car with some music on and enjoy the ride because you will enjoy it much more this way. oh. and wake up on time! You can't be to angry if you left with enough time to get to where your going!

Job hunting 101 (Girls Addition)

Job Hunting 101 (Girls Addition)

Tis the season.. for job hunting!! Now that it is the beginning of the year, it is the perfect window and time for job hunting and also a perfect time to write a blog like this and I am very excited! ^_^ I have been through the process a number of times throughout the passed few years and learned a lot from my experiences! So it's only right I share my tips!  I would consider myself a pro at this point and I have a few tips if you are in the market for a job or even a new job if you've been wanting a change. This will be a very different style job hunting article but very informative!

Job hunting tips!!! <3

Tip #1  Know recruiting windows!!!  There are optimal times of the year for job hunting.  These are called recruiting windows. As I'm typing, it is the end of January and we are in a recruiting window!!! That's why I said tis the season! I will go over how to be on your ps & qs later in this article but even without them, if you are putting in apps within this time, it is still a BIG help to you landing a job. That's why I put this tip first because it's a very big tip. Learn your windows!  Recruiting windows are in winter and fall! I would say the strongest months within that time are January and October. In the winter (right now) they are looking for new hires.  In fall they are looking for seasonal which also usually have room to turn into a new hire as well. So now is the time to be pounding the pavement or should I say pounding the keyboard. This brings me to my next tip which is..

Tip #2 Save the gas, save your best outfit.   Within the past few years, almost all major company's do recruiting online now.  I think it probably saves time and paper and is just an overall more efficient way.  The majority of places will do applications online so basically job hunting consists of you being at the computer for a certain amount of hours per day.  There's a good and bad to this.  But the good is that it saves you gas and wasted time!

Tip #3 Be prepared for group interviews!  Along with paperless applications also comes group interviewing.  This is something a lot of company's are doing as well to save time and overall costs.  They mass interview. Group interviews are much more different than solo interviews and can also be kind of awkward in my opinion. Before group interviews, they will have you standing around for maybe 20 minutes or so. Depending on the job, you will be in different settings.  For an office type job, you will all be seated in a given area to wait for the interviewer.  In a store/boutique kind of job, you will basically be walking around the store waiting and feeling awkward.  In the second example, I recommend talking to someone right away.  It helps take away the awkwardness of the situation.  People are usually very open for conversation at these moments I noticed so it doesn't matter if you say something stupid because they are just happy someone talked to them and they even try to prolong the conversation without you even do anything because they wanna talk too.  You can talk to them until the interview starts and this will probably give you more confidence during the group interview as well.  When the group interview starts make sure to answer all the questions the interviewer gives.  Take initiative and try and stand out as best you can. More than that, try to appear capable and dependable. Those are two strong qualities. Capable of doing what needs to be done and dependable (which also hints at responsible) which means they can rely on you without having to worry.  Group interviews can be hard but be confident and try to enjoy the experience the best you can! ^_^

Tip #4  5 a day!  I went to a job hunting workshop when I was in school and I was told 5 apps a day is a good job hunt and I never forgot that.  So if you were ever wondering about a specific number, go with 5.  If you do 5 apps in your day, that is a successful job hunt!

Tip #5 Apply in bulk!   This is a tip I acquired on my own. If you've seen a hiring now sign in one location, chances are that company is hiring in many locations, so apply in bulk!!! This is my pro tip!   This also makes it easier to reach 5 apps a day without searching all over the place. Some systems will remember your answers too so it isn't as much of a pain to go through the application over and over. Basically you type in that company into a job board site and there you go!

Tip #6  Have at least 2 accounts with 2 good job boards.  Chances are you will end up having way more accounts than this because you will run into many of these while job hunting and you need an account usually to apply to the job you saw.  But have at least 2 main ones you always go to.  I recommend Indeed and Monster

Tip #7 Work Index Card  This is another pro tip!!! Have all your work history on an index card with dates and addresses and phone numbers and all that good stuff.  This way you won't have to spend time thinking or wondering and making up stuff lol.  You simply copy from the index right into the application. It's easy and simple and saves A LOT of time.

Tip #8 Early bird gets the worm.  Job hunting can be very dull.  Very very dull.  Your at your computer day after day basically putting the same info into little boxes.  Also, you can only spend so many hours doing it (probably about 4 hours or so). This can make people get into the habit of, eh I'll do it later.  And to add, since you don't have to leave the house, you may think, eh, I'll just stay in my pj's and do this. No problem. But personally I think that's not a good idea. I say set your alarms like you have somewhere to be! Have your coffee and everything and then get started!

Tip #9 Get comfortable   I don't believe in just getting through things. I believe in enjoying them the best you can.  It helped me to make the experience enjoyable.  I would have some music on. Maybe I would take a break and pick up an ice coffee and have that while I'm working on my applications. Little things like that that makes it more enjoyable.

*another bonus tip*

Tip #10 Malls/Promenades If you decide you want to be more personable and go out in person (because though things are going digital, you'll still find places that do things the old school way), hit up malls and promenades to get applications in in bulk! Also (pro tip) for malls: Malls usually have a concierge and you can just go there and ask for a job listing and they will give you a binder full of all the stores that are hiring at that time.  Not everyone knows this    (I didn't) but this saves a lot of time as well!  If you are in need of a job asap, these are the best places to hit actually. For every one man they hire for office type jobs, they hire 10 for retail work and things like that which you will find at a mall.  I recommend to go everywhere.  Submit to the jobs you want and also the ones you don't really care for so you have more offers and options and a bigger chance of getting something.

And those are all my tips for submitting applications! For interviews which is the other half to this process, I have a few separate tips!

Interviews!

Prepping for interviews is a little more personal.  It's about YOU and what you represent so I've come up with a few tips that will get you an interview on the spot!

Tip #1 Presentation.  I have seen people come to interviews in all different ways.  Some in sweats.. 0_0 lol.  Some in business attire like they just came from a meeting lol.  These are both wrong and I'll tell you why.  For the first one, obviously that's a no no but also obviously everyone doesn't know that.  Sweats and jeans are for the most part unacceptable.  Sweats doesn't mean your lazy.. But you have about 30 to 40 minutes to make an impression that you are hard working and serious about this job! Sweats/casual wear doesn't cut it.  If you come in looking like you just roolled off the couch and rolled in the store like a tumbleweed , that's unacceptable lol.  Dressing casual says you are casual about this job and don't really care!

For the opposite side of the spectrum, I've seen people come in, fresh hair cut, suit and tie, polished shoes, shined up like a new penny etc lol. Like they are about to attend the Grammy's lol.  This is also a no to me.  This all screams faake!  An employer doesn't want someone who can play dress up, they want someone who they feel actually has the qualities they are trying to portray about themselves.  Now if you dress in a suite and tie on the norm and that is just the way you dress, go for it, but if this is just a presentation to get a job, stop.  People can sense when something is an act.  Try to appeal to what they want while also staying true to yourself!  I'd say the best presentation is something right down the middle (Think of how managers dress).  Your dressed professional, but it's also a bit casual and relaxed.  You don't look like you just got your hair done the day before.  You just look professional is what I'm saying.  Like this is who you really are.  This is my best tip.

Tip #2  Makeup  This IS job hunting GIRLS addition lol and this is actually a big subject believe it or not!  I've seen girls come into interviews, dramatic cat liner and all!  This is a no!  Though you may be being true to yourself, there is a line no pun intended lol.  You still have to remain professional.  Coming to an interview with the messy sex hairstyle and super dramatic liner looking like the devil is not professional lol.  I feel like this is a no brainer but all these examples I'm telling you of, I actually seen with my own eyes in interviews lol.  This was also the girl wearing sweats.... and had a giant victoria secrets shopping tote and purse doing her makeup while waiting for the interview...  uuh. yeeea.  All of these things are a no.  For makeup, you want to go with something light and clean.  This is the best presentation.  No dramatic colorful makeup.  Makeup can also be very helpful.  It can make you look more awake and energetic and just more on your ps and qs.  I think a good highlighter under the eye or white liner can be good too. It can make you look for awake and alert.  And a nude lip or gloss is good also.  Nothing to flashy and distracting but still pretty.

Tip #3 Hair  For hair, it's best to just pull it all back I think.  This is the most professional look. You can play around and do what you like just as long as at the end, you have a clean and neat look.  That is the goal.  It isn't about a specific hairstyle.  It's about at the end of the day, does this say professional?  If you've noticed everything is about making a clean and neat appearance.  So you wouldn't have big hoops on or a very dramatic dangly earring.  It takes away from the neat look.  Go with studs or something neat like that.  And for purses and bags.  Don't carry around all this stuff with you like totes etc.. Just have your purse and your resume.

Tip #4 Resume  Have many copies of your resume so they are printed and ready to go! (print in bulk to save time).  Even if you already gave them one, always carry one on you.  I've had people ask me for another one many times.  This way your always on it.  Always have a pen too.  I think this is a good impression.  For resumes, if you can try to fit all your resume onto one page, this is better for when you hand it to the employer.  I made my resume with the career center at my school and they said this was the best also so I've just stuck with that.  Pro tip: If you want to add an extra touch of professionalism, have your resume in a really nice folder, Not just the plain manila ones.  This is a very nice presentation also.  For mine, I put my resume in a clear paper holder with other resumes and important papers.  I don't know exactly what it's called but it's like a clear thin box that is the size of paper and it clips closed so it looks really neat and professional. Another pro tip: If are applying to a specific company, try to already appear as an employee.  For example, I worked at Victoria Secrets some years ago. when I was first applying, I handed my application and quickly scanned the way the girls dressed in there and showed up at my interview dressed the same and got the job!  It's kind of a little trick that works!  Dressing as if you already work there makes you seem more like a fit unconsciously and the employer might end up going with you because of that!

And lastly Tip #5 just don't give up.  Keep positive!  Think of it like a journey rather than a destination! That's something that really helped me.  After all that actually is what it is.  It really isn't about if they hire you are not.  It's about you.  It's about the life experience and learning new things along the way. That's what it's truly about.  I've went through interviews and felt awful about them and while walking away, I asked myself what was the point of even going through all that.  Like why did that happen? lol but trust me, all experience work for your betterment even if they seem like they don't.  I heard this quote on this Korean show (don't ask me why I was watching lol) and the main actress said, "do your very best, that way you can accept the results."  And I wrote it in my phone right away.  It's so true.  Do your best that you can possibly do, so when the results come, you can accept them and still feel really good for what you did.  I've found that when I do my best, like the best I could possibly do, there's not really any room to feel bad.  I feel like a success no matter what the results are!

So to recap!

* Know your recruiting seasons!
*Apply in bulk!
*Print your resumes in bulk!
*Have 2 job board accounts
* For Retail, go to malls (same as jobs in bulk)
*Ask concierge for job listing (to save time)
*Put all work history on index card pre filling out apps (to save time)
*5 a day! (5 apps a day is a successful job hunt!)
*hair/ makeup/ appearance should be professional

Collective Beauty Review!!!

Collective Beauty Review!!! <3
                                           by TrixieLuxx

Hey everyone!!! We are already in the month of December! Can't believe it!  The year goes by soo freaking fast. I wish it would sloow down. After this month, I will have been a blogger for 1 full year strong!!! Crazyness!  Today I just wanted to do a small collective beauty review! A little bit of products, little bit of samples and a little bit of gifts!  One of my favorite things is makeup so I am very excited to show and review all these products! Diamonds are a girls best friend? Nah. Makeup is!

I'll start with the Lancome paris mascara in "deep black" which is the one farthest to the left.  This company is a little more high end but overall kind of in the middle.  I like to start from outer to inner so I'll start with the packaging.  The packaging is very sleek and glamorous.  Black and gold is a very glamorous combination. It seems marketed towards the older girl but still very nice.  It's very chic and minimal and feels good in your hands.  It's kind of the perfect size. Here's what it looks like opened.

Sorry for how sucky this picture is but you can see the jist of how it is when opened.  The wand is very long and slim.  It has a very neat and compact look. Kind of perfect for your purse.  As far as the way that it applies, It's kind of slightly awkward with how long the wand is in my personal opinion.  Some may like that but the wand is too long for me.  And the bristles are very short and compact so it applies very light. It almost feels like it's barely going on so you have to keep applying just to see a little difference.  So the combination of the long wand and short bristles are not really something I like.  And as far as the formula, It's hard to tell if the formula is light or if that is the way the wand applies it.. either way, this mascara doesn't take the cake. In this case, more money does not equal more better.

Then, the Nxy Baby doll lash!  I love the packaging for this one. So cute! This one is less glamorous but more cute and I like it the same.

This wand is kind of like the basic wand. Basic price and size.  A little on the thin side with the brush. But not as thin as the Lancome Paris.  It applies more or less the same.  From what I see with mascaras, Whether you go up or down on the spectrum, it's all relatively the same but occasionally you will find something that has a wow factor. This one is not one of those lol.  It's just a regular cute mascara and applies on the thin side so it doesn't take the cake either.

And the rest of these believe it or not were all gifts! lol Yes.  This is why I love Sephora.  You get gifts just for shopping!
They are samples granted but still so great.  You get to try new brands for free and get cute little knickknacks.

I'll start with the sugar tinted lip treatment.  It looks like this.

It's basically a fancy chap stick lol.  But much more moisturizing and with a slight tint that is really pretty.  It kind of makes your lips look like rose petals to me.  It's a very pretty tint.  This is the gift I think I've seen them give out most.  And the smell is really nice! I can't really describe the scent really. But its not a familiar scent that smells like everything else.  When you smell it, it will be different from anything else.  So that's a thing.  It's very signature. I will just say it's VERY sweet and a unique scent.  Here is what it looks like opened!

Again, sorry for the mess in the back. ugh. But as you can see its a very moist and creamy treatment. And VERY soft. Like butter. It's too soft actually.  It's so soft that you have to press soo lightly on your lips or it will break the stick.  And when you even do that, it lathers it on too much!  Just from this alone, it makes me not like it.  It kind of just falls apart on your lips.  There's no form.  I do like to lather things on but not a lip treatment and its just so like creamy and buttery and falling apart that it's messy.

Then the next sample which is the third from the right.  The Buxom mascara.  I already kind of reviewed this product but this one is a sampler and kind of a little different.  This one is compact for your purse and has a different wand and package so I decided to review it too.  Again, with the whole buxom thing, the packaging is nice but once you open it, that's when the weird shyt happens again.  You don't screw it on like most mascaras.  It just pops open and BAM there it is. lol The wand is very short. It looks like this.

It's too short! lol Very strange.  The bristles are damn near touching the cap! lol But I get that it is suppose to be compact.  Then when you apply with this applicator, because its so short, its very weird. I don't know if they sell these sizes for your purse like on the go or anything but if they did, I wouldn't recommend it.  It's just a very weird application.

Then, the smash box mascara that is the second from the left!  So so far I'm already kind of really liking smash box the company. The mascara on the other hand along with the buxom is just ok.  The applicator is much better with a screw on cap but the buxom brush is actually better than the smashbox.  It looks like so.

It's just to round of a brush and to short of a stick basically.  Those two make for not a good combination.  It feels very odd to apply with this. Again, I don't know if they actually seell these for like on the go in your purse but if they do, nah to these. lol

And we are nearing the end. Oh my! I saved the best for last.  I already LOOOVE the Anastasia brand and sephora was giving out little goodie bags!

In this cute kind of burgundy bag you got a little eye mask and lipgloss! so cute!  I think that is such a cute combination. The bag looks like this. I went ahead and put everything I was going to review in it.

And here is the eye mask and lipgloss!

It's super soft and lush. And the back strap is white lace.  Looks like so.

So cute right!  I thought it was kind of perfect.  It's like sci fi meets beauty to me.  Or like tech meets beauty which is kind of perfect.  It kinda looks like it was made for a beauty blogger exactly.  And the best part is the lipgloss!  This is MY NEW FAV lipgloss!!

It's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lipgloss in "MOI".  It's kind of like a really pretty samon color.  It seems like it would be universally flattering too. Like flattering to all women and on all skin types.  For me, I feel like it brightens my face up and just makes me look soft and soo pretty.  Something about this lipgloss makes my whole face look prettier. No joke.  The formula is soo nice and high quality and the packaging is just very sleek and glam and pretty!  It's kind of perfect!  The only down side is the applicator.  It looks like this.

But it isnt a brush applicator like it looks like and like I thought it would be.  It's plastic.. You can see it better when I wiped of some of the product.

So yeah, it's like a plastic piece.  And the way it feels like when you apply is like a hard plastic. It feels hard on your lips.  It feels like your putting frosting on a cake with one of those things.  I don't know what you call it. Like a icing spatula. lol  That's exactly what it feels like lol. Like your frosting a cake except it's your lips.  But once you get use to the applicator it's pretty nice.  It applies much better than a sponge applicator because the sponge really just absorbs all the product.  With this one, it actually puts on the product onto your lips and actually applies pretty well too once you get the hang of it.  But the best applicators for lipgloss will always be brushes. So I was kind sad this wasnt a brush at first.  But honestly, I like everything else about this lipgloss soo much that I can forgive that.  I really love this lipgloss.  It is my absolute favorite right now!

And that is the end of this collective beauty review!! yay! We did it.  Believe it or not this takes me a good few hours or so but it's a labor of love. No complaints. But when I finally ge tto the end it feels like I crossed the finish like of a big race or something. lol  This should have been up Monday.  I apologize for that.  I was so horribly under the weather.  It was terrible.  Still kind of am but MUCH better today!

I hope you enjoyed this review!
Happy Tuesday! =)

The Law of Attraction!!!!

The Law of Attraction!!!
(everything you've wanted to know about the law of attraction and how it works!)

Hey everyone!!! I am very excited about this article today because I have been reading up about the law of attraction recently!  I already knew of it for a few years now but I got into reading about it again more and kind of reignited my excitement about it.  But I have already been practicing it and  I can say from personal experience that it works!!!

I feel like everyone has heard about the law of attraction by this point, probably through the secret documentary or book and have a general idea of it.  You put your wants out into the universe, and you get them!  Ask and you shall receive kind of thing.  But I find the secret, (though I really like it) to be very vague and misleading.  I am writing this article today to break down what the secret is actually saying and also give a better book recommendation for understanding it!  So let's get into it!

So what is the Law of Attraction exactly?  The Law of Attraction is the magnetic power of the universe that draws similar energies together. (Like attracts Like basically)  So in applying this to life, positive thoughts/energy are magnets for positive life experiences while negative thoughts/energy are magnets for negative life experiences!

So it isn't, put your request out there, and wait for it to come basically. Like expecting it and trying to be positive and patient while you wait.  This is what I use to think a few years back.  I thought that you ask the universe and try to stay in believing that it will come to you, and if you ever stop having hope or believing, then it cancels the energy.  But that is completely wrong!

The correct way is to BE positive/ have positive energy about the things you want and naturally, those things will just show up in your life! Speak and feel positively as much as possible!  I've really been trying to do this this year.
The positive energy within vibrates out into the universe and similar energy will come back to you!  This is where karma comes from as well.  Whats important to understand is we are all energy.  Each of us is a being but we are also a metaphysical being (an energy).  So there is the practical and then the metaphysical side of life. A lot of times we try to fix things in our lives practically.  You need to fix your grades, study more.  You need to find a job, job hunt.  You need to pay your morgage, practical solution. But our energy is the other half and is equally important.  We need to have a positive, open and receptive energy to things changing as well or it never will.

It's not only being positive and open about the things you want to change.  Your energy has to be aligned with the things you want. Basically you make yourself feel how you imagine you would feel if you had all the finances for Christmas covered already.  You act like you already got it.  It's that fake it till you make it kinda thing.  Act and feel like its taken care of and it will be taken care of! This is why watching your thoughts is so important.  We think thousands of thoughts a day and sometimes unconsciously, were thinking all this negative stuff all the time about everything and don't even know.  You gotta monitor your thoughts!

Fake it till you make it is really just a popular phrase and some may not like it because it seems like a fake kind of happiness or fake feelings or whatever.  But really it's an expression that basically is saying, take charge of your feelings.  Don't let your feelings take charge of you. When your feelings want to go one way, it can be hard, but stop them in their tracks and tell yourself that YOU are choosing the way your going to feel and not your feelings.  It may feel weird at first if your feelings are always kind of govering how you feel maybe even a little fake but its a natural transition into YOU being in control.

A year or so back, I woke up really late and I was rushing and driving to school.  I was paranoid about being late but I was trying to just not worry and try the whole law of attraction thing.  So I told myself, I know it looks like I'll be late but I wont!  I won't be late.  I even started to feel it some. And looking out through my windshield, one by one all of the cars started kind of magically moving out of the way and making the road clear!  It was so weird!  They didn't just like move and drive out the way.  It literally looked like a force pushed them all out the way.  If you've ever seen the movie Bruce almighty, you know the scene where Jim Carey first got his powers and was driving and moved all the traffic out of the way.  It was literally like that but less dramatic lol.  But as I started to look at the clock, I started getting nervous and anxious feeling.  Slowly all the cars started to come back in the way.  At the time I was thinking, what's going on?  I'm telling myself that I'll be on time and it looks like I'm not gonna make it!  I made it to school..late.  And the whole time I was thinking what happened and never understood until now.  Now I see that my feelings changed to feeling nervous and anxious and that was the problem. When that happened, the situation matched with my feelings and more traffic started coming and then I was naturally late.

You really have to watch your thoughts.  And you have to make sure your feelings are aligned with what you want which can be very hard.  That can be the hard part because it's hard to ignore the situation that's actually happening and make yourself feel what you want to happen while still in the situation. It's kind of a constant battle of the mind.  You have to make sure your mind is always in the right space.

And the last and final most important key is gratitude!  Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude!!!  You have to be grateful.  Without being grateful, there is no way more can come in the department you want because you aren't having the right energy for it to come into your life.  And even if somehow it does, it doesn't really matter anyway because a person who isn't grateful wont see it as more or notice it anyway.  When that comes they will just focus on other problems because that is the way they are. Gratitude is key! "It's hard to feel grateful and bad about something at the same time." So if your grateful, it guarantees not to feel bad.

This isn't the easiest thing.  I'm still working on it myself but if you think about it, all things in life require work.  I haven't manifested everything I've ever wanted but i can tell you I have manifested a number of things already in this year alone!

So to recap:
1. Be positive (good) energy.  Always try your best to be positive and positive about all things.  This way, for the thing that your wanting, you will be positive about it!  You won't think of it from a place of lack or think negative things about it but rather just think of it as something good that you are expecting.
2. Already act and feel the things you would feel if you had it.  Don't let this slip into lack and thinking about how you don't have that now.  Just think on the good about what you want.

3. Gratitude. The most important step! Be grateful and it will give you all the feelings your searching for in the present.
If you really think about it, we don't really want anyTHING.  We don't want money for bills, excess to shop some more, a relationship, to loose weight, success in a career or being an impressive person.  We don't want any of that.  We want the FEELING it gives us.  We don't want things. We want feelings. Gratitude helps us tap into the feeling minus the thing which is what we really want anyway.

Book Recommendation!
For the Law of Attraction explained RIGHT, I recommend a book called The Magic.  It looks like this.

It's kind of like the secret but waay better! Link will be below! You can find it at barnes & nobles in the new age section.  I feel like the new age section can kinda scare some people off but there are very good reads there.

I hope you enjoyed this article!!! If you like it, let me know in the comments below.  I am very grateful for today and to be able to write this article and share it with others in hopes that it will spread love and light and make someone see something in a new way!
