How to: The Perfect RED Lips <3

Things you'll need:

* eos lip balm
*revlon color stay lip liner in (wine)
*Maybelline 14hour stay lipstick

Step 1.  Moisturize.  This is a very important step that many girls miss.  Moisturize your lips before putting ANY product on.  It seems like an extra and wasted step but this is the step that takes your lips from "OK" to "Perfect!". 

 Start by moisturizing your lips with a lip balm or chap-stick that has a lot of moisture.  I find eos lip balm to be a good prep for lipstick.  It's not too greasy or too dry.  Do not  use lip gloss for this step.  Then take a tissue and clamp your lips down on it to remove the excess. Rub your lips together and with your finger, smear and rub your lips to make sure they are nicely moisturized.

Step 2.  Lip Liner. The next step is lip liner.  You must have your handy dandy lip liner to trace the outer corners of your lips.  This is another important step a lot of girls miss because this is another step that seems like you can go without it.  And sure.. you could go without it but in this article, we are talking about getting the perfect red lips!  I use to see my mom put her lip liner on in the car all the time when I was a little girl and thought it was a waste.  I thought, I could put on lipstick neatly without all that lol. And you CAN put it on relatively neatly but it isn't perfect neat.  There's no way you can take a big crayon like bullet and make it look precise.  There's just no way.

Step 3. Tracing Correctly. Start by tracing from your cupid's bow which is the very center of your top lip and work your way down.  Don't do your entire lip in one stroke.  Do small strokes and go slowly as not to mess up your liner and also because you can tell when someone rushes.  I like to put on my makeup slowly and have fun with it.  This should be a fun thing.  I like to do it slowly and right.  

Once you get to the corner of your lips, keep tracing.  A lot of girls stop tracing here so there is a gap between your top and bottom lip.  For the perfect lips, keep tracing across so that your bottom and top lip are all connected into one. 

Step 4.  Lipstick!  Ok.  So now we are onto the actual lipstick.  All you gotta do is color within the lines like a crayon drawing.  And since your lips are moisturized, there won't be any snagging and it will look beautiful.  Now that we are here, don't rush it and just glob it on.  Take your time with it.  All jobs are done well when you take your time! Taking your time should almost be an actual step because it's important!  When people rush anything, it usually doesn't come out as good as when they make the time to focus on that task solely.  Think of it like cooking.  When you take your time, it comes out just right.  I think they might call that putting love into it lol.  You take your time but also you enjoy doing it.  The last ingredient for putting your lipstick on is love! lol. Gotta have love!  Sometimes, all the difference was that someone took their time. Once you get to the corner of your lips, again, keep going down with the lipstick.  Don't skip that area.  

Step 5. Don't forget your interior.  So now that you are applying the lips and have gotten to the corners and continued, you will notice that your lipstick might have gotten slightly on the interior of your lips.  That's completely fine!  We want to do the interior!  As your going down to your bottom lip, fill in the interior of your bottom and top lip.  This is the part of your lip that you don't see when your mouth is closed but definitely do see when your mouth is open lol.  Have you ever seen a girl with almost all of the interior of her lipstick all off?  It almost looks like just the edges of her lips have lipstick if you can picture that lol.  So definitely apply to the interior.  

Step 6.  Gloss!  And lastly, the gloss!  After you applied your lips perfectly, you can then add your gloss.  Any clear will do.  You only need just a touch and your perfect lips are done!  When you do all these steps, your lips will look like the stars, guaranteed.  You will want to take pictures of them all night!
